Stone sculpture of two swans
Michelle created this sculpture depicting two swans in love as a birthday gift for her grandmother.
Although Michelle has created a number of great sculptures she was not sure of what to sculpt as she wanted something that would be symbolic and meaningful to her grandmother. We started with a long piece of stone and sketched sweeping fluid lines to create form. This led to Michelle having the idea of two swan birds in a contemporary style. The two swans symbolise the relationship of her grandparents love - being together with the one you love for life.
Her Grandmother loved it!
